tinting enquiry

thinking of tinting my windows, dont know whether to do a light smoke on the rear windows, or go for a dark at the rear and light on the front windows? whats the best type, as i want it to remain legal, could i put dark on the rear sides and light on the back window or would that be to gay!!

Id go for dark on the rears and rear window - even at a dark smoke, you can still see perfectly well out of it. Havent seen it at night, but then you can see feck all anyway when youre being blinded by the lights behind!

Light smoke on the front is most Police-friendly, unless theyre reeeeally evil...

Hmm, ive just recently had my windows tinted, went for limo black on the back.. and 80% (or dark smoke) down the sides.. i was planning to have it dark on the 2 backs, and ligher on the 2 fronts.. but.. when advised from the tinting guy.. its better to have the same gradient down the sides, as it makes the look alot cleaner. I can see perfectly well in the daytime, and in the evening.. (this coming from a girl!) its going to be illegal whatever tint you have on the front windows.. so if your gona do it, do it right

so even if i went for light smoke all round itll stil be illegal at the front, damn. i suppose thats why all those people carriers only have the backs done then.

The tint you have on your front windows (you cant really tell until you take the glass out) but there already tinted to 35%.. so any tint ontop of this is then illegal.

thought dark smoke on the front was illegal? Light smoke being the only legal one for the front...

The email i got from a tinting company said they only do light smoke on fronts due to legalities

The tints dont matter for MOT, it wont fail for them being to dark.. the only risk you take is being caught by teh police... And im in the midlands and ive never known anyone to be pulled for there tints. Fred has been pulled 4 times, and not once have they said about his tints. And as far as i know clio16vblack, what you have on your windows is the legal amount..

hope they have been sorterd out now and all the bubbles have gone.

I want tints on mine like squirts clio they look sweet and make a silver clio look really nice.
