tinting rear lights

i was thinking of spray tinting my rear lights, but i dont want it to fail the M.O.T.

can anyone recommend how much i should tint it? (how many layers of spray?)

keep standard imo. Had tinted lights before and the level of light off them can be quite poor tbh. Some fiestas/corsas near me have theirs pure black and tbh it's right dangerous late at night lol

This how I had mine, got them sprayed professionally at a bodyshop. Bit of paint and a lot of laquer as far as i know. They do go through the MOT but they're pretty dangerous to drive with tbh. I wouldn't have them again anyway.

Im interested in tinting my rear brake light on top of the spoiler (red) ... is this legal? I just want it to be slightly darker than normal.

There's this stuff called Lamin-x I believe. Search it on google.

It's like a film that goes over your lights.

Rear lights can be tinted but you need to have a visible reflector and the tinting fooks that up.

You could get some really subtle tint film and use that.
