Tire Tread Problem

Sorry if this bas been posted before or if it sounds stupid but which way should the tread face on my wheels?

I have V shaped tread and don't know if the point of the V should face forwards or backwards. Anyone know? Will having them face the wrong way reduce grip?

What tyres do you have Hixxey? E.g. Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3...

Normally the arrow of the V will face downwards in the direction of travel. So if your looking at the car from behind the arrow points up and the arrow will face down if you face the car from the front.

Found the arrows on the side which show the direction they should face. Back are on right but front need swopping over
maybe thats why I feel such a loss of grip around corners?
