to scale drawing software

i need a program just to do some basic birds eye view scale drawings. does anybody know any software to do this thats free. or is there something i could use on my laptop already? thanks

i just want a birds eye view of my kitchen to scale, then basically just draw simple boxes to work out where units can go best etc as its a really small kitchen

Have you tried the Ikea Kitchen planner software? Works pretty well IMHO.

The Google program is called SketchUp.

You could do a 3-d plan of your kitchen with that.
