yeah realised that when i went to fit it today didnt have the pipe coming from the turbo, but went back up and got it for £2 lol

only thing thats looking like a bit of bother is the radiator on my 65 is different from the one on the 80 it came from, mine doesnt have the brackets to mount the intercooler so ill need to either make something up or sell my radiator and get an 80 one, mine is nearly brand new right enough!

  185lb/ft dCi
if you can mate, i'd try and see if you can find any points you could screw some brackets to like i did:

I didn't get any brackets with it either, just made some up and bent them to shape, it fits rather well lol.

different IC though so might be abit of a b**ch with 80 one.

how do you like all the pipes in the bay now then lol? can't get my hands in now, there god damn everywhere!

you won't be seeing 110bhp, but 100 is doable at a push, my initial map was about 92bhp but i got paul to play with it abit more and inject abit more fuel, ended up being 99bhp. torque is one of the biggest improvements though, feels amazing low down.

awesome man wish i could have found a dci100 intercooler :( im assuming the pipework is the same apart from you seem to have another pipe going from the top jubilee clip at the top of the radiator (drivers side) down to the intercooler, my hose connects to the intercooler at the top where the clip is.

fitted it tonight, and as pikey as it is the cooler is held on to the radiator very securely with some cable ties haha, doesnt budge either!!

initialy when i took it out it felt a bit quicker but i was sure it was in my head but got my mate to take it out and he also agrees it appears to boost a bit harder, not like its gained 10bhp but i think it may have a tiny bit more power and torque, dying to have it mapped now, just need to look into an uprated clutch so i can run some nice torque figures hehe

you running standard clutch mate? what sort of torque you running?

  185lb/ft dCi
yeah well the guy i got it off had the 80 pipes and modified them to fit the 100 (added another pipe into the game) thats why there are about a million jubilee clips everywhere.
when i first put mine on and went out in the car it felt alot better, all the flat spots it cut out and felt like it pulled better lower down. (it also ran 72bhp on standard map, on the rollers)

yeah I am running a standard clutch (a new clutch went in just before I got it mapped because it slipped first time i took it to paul, think it had some grease on it because it looked in fine condition).
its running 185lb/ft so 250nm now, amazing in such a little car.

tell you what though, you should go back to that 80 where u got the parts from and steal the injectors! you would be hitting 110bhp then, steal the gearbox as well while your at it!

get back to me if you find anywhere that will do you a decent clutch, I can't find one anywhere!

i take it you cant use the 172 clutches then?

i was under the impression that the injectors were the same and it was just the fuel pump that was different or is that the 80 and 100 im thinking of?

yeah that much torque would be awesome!!!

  185lb/ft dCi
well people said, the dci65 gearbox was the same as the 1.6 16v and the dci80 box was the same as the 2.0 16v, so i asked if a clutch from a 172 would fit then, but i never got a reply and i was never in a stage to just rip the car apart because clutch change is a b*****d! and i need the car for everyday use.

if you dont mind taking it apart and having a try, i'd buy you a pint!

the 80 injectors have a 15% more efficient flow rate than the 65's. the 100's im not sure about, i think they might be designed abit differently, or like you say could just be the pump.

cool mate, ill see how much he wants for the injectors and hope he doesnt know what their worth haha how much do they cost to get coded at renault? assuming no one up here can do them as far as i know apart from them, or can most diesel specialists do it?

its my daily runner at the moment as 25mpg, going thru a set of tyres in about 2 months and due a timing belt has took the 172 out of action for a while lol so i cant rip it apart at the moment but give it time ;) lol

  185lb/ft dCi
haha i wish i knew a guy like that!! like gold dust finding parts these cars.

erm i'm not sure from renault but i'd imagine it wouldn't be that cheap. I would have thought most remap places would be able to do it, as they are essentially changing settings in the ecu and thats where they would store information about injectors? i'm only guessing here. I know paul does it at rstuning but your abit far from leeds, I would ask around local tuning companies.

get that dci in the garage forget the 172!! lol

by the way I need to do cambelt on my dci soon, whats the job like? long?

i love to see people modding these dci's there is so much potential its awesome. if magnastik can come back and say those hdi injectors work that will be an amazing breakthrough. 140bhp, crazy torque and still 65mpg and £35 tax!

ive got a cambelt sitting, had it since i got the car just never had the bloddy time! will try and get it done soon, i cant see it being too hard being a single cam engine but not really had a look yet!

im not 100% sure on the injectors i just know they need to be coded to the car, not sure if thats coded in the ecu or if you code the actual injectors, ill pop in and speak to one of the renault tech's as see if they fancy doing it as a back hander.

yeah i know what you mean i went up the scrappys to get a rear number plate light for my mates clio and was just walking past and noticed the dci badge with the blue i on it, was like a kid at christmas haha

  185lb/ft dCi
haha i was like that when i went to get the intercooler for mine, couldn't wait to get it on. it's the start of the dci modding that intercooler is, you'll just want to do more and more!

let me know how you get on with the injectors anyway, see if they have more than 1 set! :)

  185lb/ft dCi
i bet there was alot pushing and shoving making it fit, looks good though! its worth all the effort, when are you thinking about getting it mapped?

well the reason for running the dci at the moment is to save money to pay off some debt so not till nesrer summer i dont think.

plus dci needs a few bits n bobs done to sort it out then ill mod it more. its about to hit 150,000 miles lol

  185lb/ft dCi
mental remapping it at that age i must say, but as long as its in good nick, go for it. whats the fuel pump like? that and the turbo will be the things ill be worrying about as mine gets older. if your pump goes then most likely your injectors are mashed.

i want another dci as a second car to have in the garage to turn it into a monster, we need an update on those citreon injectors really. you had any look with the scrappies 80 injectors?

not had time to go up yet, ill need to wait till i get paid hehe.

car seems sound so far, if it goes it goes ill put a new engine in it lol

turbo seems sweet as a nut no noise at all off it, dont think its had a hard life either that or its been replaced, not sure not got any service history with the car.

fitted a boost guage today as i had one lying about just out of curiosity, running a nice 18psi, that what all 65's run?, what do the 80's run? what you running?
