Todays strippage.

  221bhp/ton Mondial Terror
Finally decided to pull my finger out and have ago at this weight loss lark! With so many stripped clios in gloucestershire at the mo (bomber, burp, adeyspec) thought id join in the fun.

Managed to find a break in the rain, so only had time to do the rear of the car. Still plenty to do though. Will look good once its cleaned up and resprayed. The car does feel a lil bit livelier!

Nice work. Love stripped cars.

Might want to put the other bolt back in from the bar you removed as it goes straight to the open underside.

What seats are they?

Cobra misano's mate.

Had burp do the battery relocation for me. The back end of the car hasnt risen really due to the extra weight of the battery being in the boot. But my konigsports are on the lowest setting at the rear.

Ditch the V6/Trophy spoiler if you're serious about weight loss it weighs a ton compared to the Cup or standard sport spoiler

make sure you get rid of the rear wiper assembly that will save you more weight!

worthwhile on a track car or weekend toy but not a daily driver. too loud, cold etc. just not very practical. well for me anyway.

you get used to it luke :D

i didnt.
had no carpets, roof lining, sound insulation, rear seats, doorcards etc and i hated it. i only lasted 3 months. my car was decatted too tho.
it it worth the extra bhp per tonne, but not worth all of the headaches.

Too loud, get some earplugs?

Too cold, wear a coat?

I don't like stripped out cars, gaz loves them and wants to strip his ZR out though. Unfortunately he probably will.

what are the cobra misanos like on the track, do you fall out of them? are these the best recliners before going to bucket seats?

how mant daily drivers do you know that have to wear earplugs to be comfortable. lol.
not very comfortable driving in a coat. not worth sacraficing the luxuries for a few more bhp imo. as said very worthwile on a track car.

Mere suggestions. Some people can actually wear coats and drive ;)

Looking good m8!
Just the rear strippage for now? ;)

I presume that all that is irreversible too?

Fully reverseable mate. Gotta keep all the seat brackets because when the wife comes off maternity leave i might have to put the rear bench bk in. Only had time to do the back 2day. Waiting for my carbon fibre front door cards to arrive then i can get on with stripping the rest! Had the cup rolling roaded at powerstation yesterday. 202.4 bhp and 163.5 ft/lb. Well chuffed. At 212bhp/ton now lol. Still got atleast another 40kg to come out. So should get to my target of 220bhp/ton. (Impreza P1 and M3 E46 territory)

Still a track virgin! lol. I find they hold you in alot better than the standard seats! I have no falling out issues, but im pretty well built. lol.

Sounds good! I ask because I will be VERY tempted to strip mine out further. I know the back seats are easy to put back in, but I wasnt sure about all the plastic covers etc on the sides.
I wanna get mine on a rolling road too soon. Just out of curiosity ;)

I managed not to break any of the clips on the door card plastics so should be pretty easy to put back. If i can do it im sure you can mate!;)
