Didn't write it up when I did it, one thing I do know is, when using 172/182 stubs and calipers brackets we gained about 5mm extra track on the R5 and used the plastic camber shims that most people use from k-tec not the Pure Motorsport type.
On the same R5 we used clio 1.8 16v discs and willwoods, and squeezed them under 13" compomotive CXR rims, (the regs at the time specified standard diameter wheels, brakes were free).
Thats interesting, I think I could just about handle an extra 5mm of width on the back of mine as its not too wide to start with anyway.
Would certainly be a real bonus to be able to adjust.
Still building it at the moment though so not had a geo check done yet ,will be interesting to see what I get, it might be close enough that it isnt worth mess or it might be that its well worth the hassle.
There are a lot of different width 172/182 stub axles anyway though, so should be a case of being able to pick a thicker or thinner one to suit anyway once the conversion has been done?
Give me a shout, as we didn't do it the exactly same way as the French link.
The pink one on the left had the rear beam conversion done to it, but both of them had the bigger brakes.
