TomTom GO 510 - worth it?

I have the option of buying a new TomTom GO 510 for £210 all in. It's not second hand and isn't dodgy.

I note the ipod capability and bluetooth handsfree but these aren't what you buy this for.

Has anyone got any experience of them and what are your thoughts? Seems a lot of money for a glorified GPS.

That said when they are retailing for £280+, I'm sure I could sell it on without loss if necessary.

Yup I agree, def worth it for that price! The cheapest I could find it online when I bought it was £322!

The Bluetooth capability with the mobile is great for calls, havent tried the ipod connection out yet though.

Doesnt work very well with the 182 screen and mine has jammed quite a bit (have to keep stopping and sticking my earring in the reset slot - could be connected with the problem with the 182 screen though). I know a couple of other people with them who've not had any problems though.

Got it now, and well, what a piece of equipment. Really quite impressive.

Just wondering whether there is anything else worth adding to it? I read above that www.pocketgpsworld.com does subscription. Is that really worth £20?

Yeah the database is good, someone on here was making this available for free but I can't remember who. Do a search in this section and PM whoever it was
