Grandpa Munster Car Mercedes SLK350 May 30, 2005 #4 The aerial is needed, but then you can mount the ttg any where in the car you like. I have mine velcroed to the clear window at the bottom of the screen. The wire is run, hidden, towards passenger a-post and then under the dash. It exits through the ash tray area to the ttg. Hold on I will get you a pic.

If this was not the case, I would route the wires so they are unseen.
