how do i do the above?

does it cost money to use the tomtom facility on the n70 when you've bought it and installed it?

GPS is free to use, I'd imagine you have to pay for the software etc, do you need anything else? interested as will probably be my next phone..

as far as i can see, you need a gps transmitor (bout £50??) and the software (dunno how much that is). load it on the phone and connect the gps receiver and i think thats it?

there is a specific version of tomtom for mobiles, think its quite expensive, I have tomtom for pda but it doesn't include the phone version too.

Will need a 256mb card though minimum depending on what maps you want on it.

well if it costs as much as a tomtom i may aswell buy an actua ltomtom instead!

cheers though!

depends if you want a genuine copy or not?

List of things needed:

1. Bluetooth GPS Reciever - from ebay
2. Minimum 256MB RS DV MMC card
3. TomTom Mobile 5 Software - Bought from shop or online which enables you to TomTom traffic and weather etc... or downloaded using Torrents however doesnt allow you to use the above features.. but you can get any maps you want for free.
4. In Car Holder - Otherwise its a pain in the arse
5. In Car Charger - TomTom program eats battery time so useful to charge on the go.

Thats it really :D

To Install:

Put mmc card into a card reader, copy over the tomtom folder and other stuff and then put in phone and your done.

yeap tis mate, after a while driving u dont really look at the screen but yeah its quite good on a par with a tomtom i would say!

Never had a problem with the screen size... its more a quick glance and to see where the next turn it. Depends where you have it mounted i suppose... i currently place mine over my rev counter so its easy to see however i cant drive hard as it flys out and hits the floor :(
