A large group of us are off to the 'Ring this time next week and I asked my mate if I could borrow his TomTom. He said it's very tepremental. Anyway, I tested it on the way to work this morning and apart from the battery being flat, which was then half charged by the time I got to work, throughout the whole half an hour journey, the message read...
"Waiting for a valid GPS signal"
My mate told me the only place his TomTom works/get signal is if it's placed onto the rectangular area at the base of the windscreen, which is where the rain/light sensor thing is. I'm not sure which one's which but you know what I mean. So, is this correct or would it just be a problem with his particular TomTom. The one he has lent me was the TomTom Go 700.
