Took my car to the local garage

Took my car to the local garage today got a major problem with it on the drivers side when i do above 10mph round a corner the car makes a really bad knocking noise like the car has a puncture the guy said it was tracking rods and driveshaft so he changed both of them then 2 hours later he said job done paid him 130 quid picked the car up and still the same, he then put the car back on the ram and said i needed a new gearbox but surely if i needed a new gearbox i wouldnt be able to move gears and i have no problems wiv my gears please any advice given will help me

also just remembered he didnt replace the whole driveshaft just the bit that goes from the gearbox

Go to another garage and get a second opnion.

yer i am gonna take it to another garage tommorow cant drive car so the ova garage going to move it free of charge for me

Its quite possible its the suspension arm so a new arm is the best option as trying to chnage the bushes can be more expensive. A new arms not mauch though under £50.
