Car  Fabia VRS
Been looking around on screw fix and halfords for some torx screws so i can take out the seats and other bits and bobs around the car

What does everyone use and what would you reccomend?

Cheers

Oh and sorry admin if its in the wrong section

Get yourself a halfords trade card before you buy any of their tools, massive discounts to be had

if its just the torx things you need just get them off ebay or pound strechers

Hm i dont think i'd trust the quality of them tbh, end up using them a couple of times and they'l be rounded off, but i could be wrong

Abit difficult when i dont match the criteria to apply for one :P

buy propper first time pal, BELIEVE me, buy cheap buy twice, splash out, dont have to be snap on, but not cheap tat, i got a teng on when i was still at school, me,friends, family, everyone has borrowed/used it, worth its weight in gold.

So go with the more expensive/ reliable stuff ?

depends how much your going to use it to be honest. if its gonna be a once in a blue moon basicly not use it, buy cheap stuff.

if your gonna use it on a regualar basis then buy some better stuff. blue point and teng are good if you dont fancy paying snap-on prices. but like i said, depeneds if your reeeaaaally gonna use it that much.

i have some blue point stuff and some cheap crap from b and q and the cheap craps still going fine tbh

Yes. Even if it's not gonna get used much at least it will hold it's value and be sellable and will work when you do come to use it when a blue moon comes around lol

true but if he can get what he wants really cheap then theres not really any need to spend crazy money if it will barelly get used

I also recommend the Halfords Advanced/Pro tools, mine have been great and they have a life time warranty! Worth every penny even if you have to splash out a bit more to start with...

150 piece set, costco trolley jack and a full set of axel stands is pretty much a staple for anyone ever going to do anything to their car tbh. :)

halfords professional kit is the one to get, you will use it for EVERY job on the car, very versatile ! plus lifetime guarantee!

That Halfords 150 piece set is awesome. I bought it, and it had everything I needed. Other than a breaker bar for the really tough bolts :)

Oh and regarding trade, that tool set is already half price, so buying that on trade it would actually cost more, because it takes the trade price off the full price.
