why do top gear series last only 5 minutes, its ridiciulous. They should cut down the budget they spend on each episode and make the series longer. It seems only like 2 weeks ago the legendary maccer was on there posing as the stig.

We dont need things blowing up every episode, just banter between the guys reviewing cars would suffice for me.

Sooner or later countries will ban people from making wonderful cars like the aston.

I think what clarkson was trying to say was ,that time, with the release of such a car as the aston is just around the corner...

yea , i agree. Strange ending how all the jokes and silly stuff was just cut short by the last 4-5mins. I was expecting more daft comments by JC or jokes but i was glued to those last 5mins , watching and listening to the AM on that road.

i loved the road he was driving on, but in a way manufacturers always will find new things and ways to make things. just the fact the aston has come out, the new fezza 458, i personally think things can only get better.

i agree the old cars like the miura, countach, gt40, f40 etc were all epic, but times progress and we will always adapt and be the better for it.

Did nobody notice the guy shooting himself in the head wi'blood spattering out? Couldn't believe they got away with it pre watershed - not a peep in the papers.

the AM bit ive watched over and over again, it was beautiful television, the boys will be back

they will!

the bbc would not cut its 5th biggest export, the show helps the corporation more than we all think. even if one of the team left they would think of a replacement/similar production

Imo i think the show is getting worse. I still love top gear but its just getting boring!! The road test of the cars are becoming a bit stupid now and giving no indication as to how good the cars are.
Just like the test of the GT2 for example?!?!? What was that rubbish about??? Need to get their act together i think.

The emotional Aston bit wasn't clarkson signing off i don't think...

He doesn't think Aston will make it through the recession we are in and thinks that's the last quick Aston there will be, therefore giving them a bit of a sign off...

Maybe..

It's entertainment. If you want bland road tests, watch 5th gear.

Their plan to rekindle everyone's interests in the show by hinting they may be on their way out has obviously worked :)

Yeah its entertainment but the road tests cud at least give u a bit of an idea about the car other than if it drifts or not!!
I love all the stupid stuff they do on there but noone on this planet can say its as good as it was last yr or the year before

The series will continue im sure.I just think clarkson was hinting at the end of certain marques of car not surviving the current climate.The likes of small supercar brands such as aston will really strugle with the big boys i think.And tbh this new V12 aston is a special car...

Most of the cars they are messing about with most people will never be able to experiance let alone afford and hence the general pratting about with them as thats what people want to see.

I personally want to hear the engine and see it slide round some corners I don't want to hear about how good the car is as if I have the money I wil go try them all for myself and make my own mind up.

I will agree however that some of the general pratting about is getting a bit predictable but then it goes out to a wider audience being like that.

The Aston Martin at the end was more in the vain of how car commercials used to be, possibly a reference to their comical attmepts at car commercials early on in the program.
