Top mount play

I replaced my top mounts with KYB as a temp measure a while ago and never got round to fitting the updated ones. Went to see Fred@BTM & he showed me the difference between the aftermarket KYB items & the original Renault items. The KYBs make the top rubber sit far to high, Fred popped the new Renault ones on & there is a hell of a difference in the gap between the strut top & the top rubber.

Are your top mounts original items & are they the updated ones?

New, there doesn't seen to be any knock or that from it though

well add 600kg+ to them and there won't be any play

Fred.......would you advise against using the KYB donuts?

I have measured them and seriously see no difference but I can appreciate that would change under load
