Top Speeds In Each Gear?

As the title says really. Has anyone got the info of the top speeds in each gear of the 182 please.

errm 60 in 2nd, 90 in 3rd, 110 in 4th (all on a private road)

62 in 2nd ,90 in 3rd and just over 110 in fourth right on to the limiter in 5th around 150.mph.Give or take for the speedo being out.
I hit the limiter in 5th in my old 172 before i sold it...

Mine reads approx 40 in 1st, around 68ish in 2nd and about 96 in 3rd. I've hit the limiter in 4th on a runway and it was about 120.
So someone correct me if my speedo is wrong.

Yeah RA2 is different to the 182 speedo.

Phase 1 172's are longer geared iirc. The ratios were changed for the Phase2 172 and again (slightly) for the 182.

If you set the cruise control on mine at 70mph the RA2 will read out at 68mph

i get 30 in 1st, 58 in 2nd, 90 in 3rd, 110 in 4th and never gone past that, with the amounts of revs left i'm guessin it'll be off the clock (clock goes to 120)

Dont forget the road angel 2 uses various satellites which will measure from A - B. A speedo on a car has been calibrated with the size of wheels and tyres and takes these into account. Obviously the road angel cant do this, its looking down on the car from a birdseye view. It doesnt mean there wrong though the satellites are so quick the time on them is very accurate.

speedo's read up, gps units are more acurate then speedo's

Mine is (all approx) 38 in 1st, 68 in 2nd, 95 3rd, 125 4th and whatever in 5th. This is with the Rsport...about 7700rpm but 4th and I assume 5th is pretty much 8k

I get the same as you. As 'lagerlout' said, phase 1 172s have longer gearing thank phase 2s and 182s.

Mines the same, been off the clock at 150, can't beat a Chipwizards remap eh jon? oh you can't reply some numpty banned you :S

BTW I do know the clocks are out at this speed before someone quote Evo stats or something

Ive got the 182 road test from autocar so here goes:

1st=39
2nd=62
3rd=88
4th=112
5th=138

those speeds were all taken at 7000rpm except 5th gear which was taken at 6700rpm, although i assume each gear will manage a few more mph as it will rev to 7200rpm

no idea what mine is lol 63 maybe a little more in 2nd, not too sure what i can do in 3rd, it's not cause I don't go fast its just I'm usually concentrating on the road!!!

Have seen 140 on the clock on slight downhill not quite flat out (5th gear obviously!!!) private track of course

yup, not 100% sure on 2nd and 3rd gear with chip though, needles hard to track when you pressing on. 3rd is at least 90 though... 4th I only remember as it was done at Donny on the long straight
