Torque of the 172





Anyone know what the torque figure is of a 172?

Going to Superchips soon and I wanna know what the standard is so Ill know on what sort of improvement ill get.

The official Renault figure is 200nm (147lb/ft) @ 5400rpm but all cars can differ and not all are exactly the same...

On the rollers mine made more torque and peaked at lower rpm

if you go to superchips website and carry out search for 172 they have before & after graphs for torque and bhp for a 172 mk2

The 2 standard cars with 144bhp @ wheels made, 143lb/ft @ 5500rpm and 147lbft @ 5500rpm



Mine was a LOT stronger in the mid range though, miles more grunt than any other car tested on the day!

Just needs less restriction at the higher revs and it will be superb! :D
