Well, just ordered the Onyx and some other bits and ended up spending another ton in total there
But I got a new wash mitt too so my old man can have my current one.
Looking forward to the session now, given myself 2 or 3 days to do everything, and already got the interior out the way yesterday. Smelling of sweet fresh leather now...mmm!

Don't buy Mystery - ever, well pissed off with it now. Re waxed with Souveran this afternoon to get rid of the Holograms left on the paint.
Holograms a touch after application so will need a wipe down after.
Leave on for 10 mins before removing.
Won't last ? - Should be good for 10-12 weeks according to guys using it over on DW.
Right, just cleaned the car to get it prepped before polishing and decided to bite the bullet andtry and get this sanding done...
So as advised I soaked the paper overnight in a shampoo solution, and then rubbed gently over the surface, keeping it lubed with QD. The paint/ clear coat came back nicely so its flush with the paint, but when I wiped away the liquid I was left with some HORRIBLE looking sanding marks. Initially I was thinking "nice one Tom, this looks worse than it did before, worse even than the scratch I was trying to cover up!" but after going over the area a few times with some Menzerna IP have to say I am extremely impressed with the results, the entire scratch is almost invisible unless you look hard for it and the scratches around the repair are almost gone, going to finish off with some FF soon.
Anyway, cheers for the help - definitely a very usefull technique!

Cheers, was very pleased with the results and a new trick for the future. Considering the position of the mark it is really impressive actually, where the paint was applied is really well blended with the existing paint :approve:

After cleaning on Sunday and polishing today, ready to seal and wax tomorrow... good news. Although I am slightly concerned my package may be lost in the post

I will call him tomorrow morning if not - always the easiet option. That is unless it arrives...CYC and ParcelForce are normally very reliable hence my concerns...:S
Quite annoying as I ended up doing the whole car using the 6" pads and would have been a lot easier to use the new 4" set I ordered, but that is mainly due to my impatience lol.

Right, Onyx turned up yesterday (some Parcel Force screw up also meant the Snow Foam in the package had leaked everywhere) and after FAR too many hours thoroughly detailing the car inside and out - it looks absolutely mint.
To give you some idea how long it's taken, I did the interior last Friday and have been working on it for at least 3 or 4 hours every day except Saturday - so my neighbours think I am an absolute joke to say the least lol.
Haven't taken any pictures yet but its the best the car has looked since I have bought it - the Onyx over the Collinites worked really well.
I will give a full process list when I get the pictures up, think the combination of products I used worked extremely well together. I don't want to drive it now and ruin so so many hours of work!!
