towing another car.

  2002 172 track/road
Hi does anyone know if the car you are towing has to be insured, taxed and moted?

Thanks Fraz.

  Fiesta ST2
of course its a road going car. What happens if the person you're towing hits you/your car or a member of the public? or if the tow snaps etc declared as off the road? hmm!

If its on a trailer it'll be different

  Now Sold :-(
If it's physically on the road as in tyres on tarmac then it needs to be insured and MOT'd.
No different to being parked up and not driven.

^__ +1 if the tyres have contact to the road surface it needs to have insurance, tax and mot (if required)
