The car has also started running quite rough and reduce in performance also only just put 10 pound of shell unleaded into it! Engine viloently rocks!

Mine came on once (solid) after filling up with 95RON. No performance loss or ill efects though.

From memory I'm failry sure the handbook says stop driving if it's a flashing warning?

Same light came on in my 2003 Expression the morning after my MOT, took it back to the garage and they sorted it within minutes [and for free].

Not sure exactly what was wrong, but all they did was plug the laptop in to find the fault code and fiddle about under the bonnet.

Your car sounds in a much worse state though if the engine doesn't feel right and 'violently rocks'. Get it checked out! :S

been doing a bit of research on it, seems about a coil pack or something causes it to missfire, if theres a renault mechanic on cs would be greatful of your input!

The specialists who are known on here such as Yozzasport, rentech, GDI etc are all on mainland UK mate. I don't know about N. Ireland? Hopefully the wizards on here will know what's wrong straight away. Otherwise you might have to brave a main dealer or local mechanic.

The Car itself is a 2003 with 34k on it, i bought it 4 months ago from a dealer hurst with 30k ive only put 4 k on it since and with it being low millage and a common fault with these should these be replaced by renault or the dealer i got it off?
