track day set up

Can anyone advise what to get for a good track day set up ?

I dont want to spend crazy money ?

what are they like on standard suspension set up ?

Coilovers ? what are people using ? anyone using the cheaper coilover set ups ?


also brakes what discs and pads to get ?

ive seen on ebay discs for around £130 for 4 ?

will these be a load of rubbish ?

was considering 4 pots ?think hi spec is the cheapes ive seen around £500


could you use calipers and discs of meganne turbo ?

any advice would be great plus anythink else to improve for track days

what tyres people using ?

get some silverstone track day tyres and ferodo ds2500's.

unless you going mental on track that will more than cover you.

dont see why people go soooo mad with track cars tbh

Lots of brake parts set ups in this section, have a browse. most trackday enthusiasts are happy with these. Suspension wise there are many combos, try the car on a trackday and see what you think is lacking then go from there. Thats what I'll be doing soon as I just got my Cup going.

I'd change your front brakes for Brembo HCs and Ferodo DS2500, leave the rears as they don't do much. Anything else I'd change when they need replacing and spend it on trackdays instead.

Spend money on learning to drive it on track, then change the bits you aren't happy wth. Do the brakes, leave the rest to start with.
