Track Experiences

Car  Clio 172 sport
Done a track day experience on saturday in a 360, wrx and a corvette.

I am seriously considering taking the 172 on the track,

- what experiences have people had? Will the fragile french clio's just fall apart on the track? lol

They are fine, ive just come back from Oulton park Renaultsport day and the car laps it up everytime.

Id seriously recomend doing a Renault day (will be next year now coz that was the last one)

Just make sure the car is in sound mechanical condition and that you check simple things like fluids and tyre pressures.

Here is a vid of Me and some other clios on track. Notice how no bits 'fall apart'

Clio's are good on track :)

Just make sure everythings topped up, the tyres and brakes are in good nick, and you'll have a hoot.

did donington park about 3weeks ago, and i thought it was good on the road but oh my god its 100 times better on the track

steve

back from oulton today been a passenger in nick's 182, tell you what, fappin awsome! loved it

rs trackday was emmense, impressed by some of the 197's handling that where blasting round

I did one of those experience days a good few years back. It should have been called a 30 minute rip off !!!
It was in a 306Gti6 when they were the business, few laps as passenger with the instructor driving as sighter laps. Then me driving for a few laps, (lots of slow down and brake !) Then a couple of quick instructor laps...
All over far too quickly.

Since done a few track days in my cup and they are awesome. Get some instruction its well worth it !!

Yea if you are going to do the track experiences the best one - well i think is - Prestwold Hall Unlimited revs in Loughborough - you turn up and pay like £50 per 3 laps in whatever car you fancy

It was quality got a deal for a ferrari 360, imprezza wrx and a corvette Z06 for like £130 or summin, lasted about 2 hrs and was the best time of my life

They constantly shout go go go at you and let you get a bit of sideaways action

Im defo going again, the corvette was the nuts - The 172 felt gutless afterwards when i was driving home - hence me just buying the rstuner ecu mapping device - hoping to have a bit of fun with that this weekend.
