Track Tyre sizes

What is the best size tyre to run on track with 15inch wheel?

I have been told a good budget track tyre is a Maxsport RB5 but the only 15 inch sizes are 205 55 & 185 55 Will either of these fit?

Am I correct in think the standard size 195 55 R15

Ive got 205/50/15 888s, but 195/50/15 would make very little difference.

Yeah 205/50 will fit but do wear the plastic trims when on track..

I imagine the 55 profile would scrub like mad..

The 888's seem so wide anyway. I swear my 195 888's are as wide as my 205 GSD3's?

195/50 r15 r888, and yeah they are wider than a regular 195 tyre. seen this on a megane r26 which had 235 r888's and they were clearly wider than the ps2's he had on the rear
