Track tyres or stick with road tyres?

  Clio 172 Sport
Hi all,
I'm currently running Pirelli P-Zero Nero on the Clio for track days.
Are Nangkang NS-2R or R888 going to give me alot more grip than the Pirelli's?

Cheers

Are the Nero's good as track day tyres out of interest? I've got nearly new Nero's on mine but never really considered them to be a track tyre.
I can't help with a comparison though sorry.

Road tyres are ok at best. As above ad08rs are much better. The same with federal rsr's.

Proper track tyres are night and day over normal road tyres tbh.....road noise can be horrific though, if it's used on the road as well try and buy a spare set of rims for some track tyres.

As above.

One is made to be quiet, efficient & work safely without requiring any care/maintanence in everything from torrential rain and 5 degrees to bone dry and 30 degrees.

The other is made solely to do one thing, whilst offering a basic level of usability.

On track the difference is huge. At 80 degrees the road tyre is 60 degrees above its average working temp yet the track tyre is just getting comfy...
