Trackday tyres

I'm a big fan of Yoko A048s (medium compound), however they dont make these in a suitable 45 profile for 16" rims. (Same with Toyo R888s and these wear to quickly too imo)

Is there likely to be any problems with clearance using a 50 profile tyre? ie 195/50/16 on a 172 cup lowered approx 30mm?

Yoko also make the A032 (s/soft) in a 205/50/16. Has anyone used these?

You're better off running 15" rims which is what I and most others do on track - you get a much wider choice of track rubber available.

This cliosport geezer, detailing heaven and bonnet up maccy 'd look at my polished engine cover home to the masses, heaven forbid any of em go near a track LOL.

888's for me, but I'm a tight wad, and run toyo proxes for the ring, cos you never know if it'll be wet or dry

Got some 195/55s D01Js at the moment as well. They're interesting!

I used 195/45/15 Silverson slicks. They are nice.
