Tracking always out?

Had my 182 tracking setup on a laser system last week due to uneven tyre wear issues. Was quite a long way out. Anyway they straightened it out, and said to bring it back the following week (today). Just been down there and the tracking was again quite a bit out!

Any ideas what this could be?? Theres no play in the track rods. Tyre place suggested it call be a ball joint. Is this a possibility?? Bit conecerned as I have a 400 mile drive this weekend.

yeah ball joint is the almost ONLY possibilty when tracking is out again in such a short time. When this has play (they should check for you) you will never get a correct tracking !

They didn't check the ball joint, just said the track rods were ok. They've said bring it back next friday and they'll check it again free and we'll go from there.

So if it is the ball joint, how much are we talking for a garage to fit new??

Do it yourself mate, but if you don't want to, i'd expect 1 hours labour plus part (£12), or half hour is your garage is nice.
