tracking





i took my car to my mate 2 weeks ago so he could do the tracking on the super tracker the laser was set on 6 so i took it back today for him to check it as the steering wheel was on the piss and the drivers side had gone from 6 to 15 degrees it has totally fu*ked my tyre an he carnt get the steering wheel to sit straight any body have any ideas why this has happend

Was it done on a level surface??? (stupid, question, but you never know!!!!)

Also did he tighten up the track ends???? (as above in brackets!!!!)

either the tracking gauges were incorrectly set up or the track arm nut was loose.set the tracking first then straighten the steering wheel if nes using the track arms EG-if the wheel is off centre to the left then shorten the n/s track arm by 1 turn and lengthen the o/s track arm 1 turn.if the wheel is off centre to the right then shorten the o/s track arm by 1 turn and lengthen the n/s track arm by 1 turn.road test it and further adjust if required.
