traction control and service light

just been driving the 182 and the traction control and service light came on, when i stopped and switch the engine off / on the light when off and stayed off.


has happened a few times over the past couple of days.


any ideas?

It's happened to me a couple of times last year, but when I turn the car on and off it goes away again. Dunno why!

found it was the switch on the brake pedal, any idea how much they are to replace?

How old's the car? Warrenty?

its an 05 plate, i have fixed the switch but i dont want some monkey too look at it and tell me there is nothing wrong, i would like to do it myself, if not they have to test drive it and last time the guy tested drove my car he drove it like a prick (he being 17 and never driving a 182 before) he did not know that i was behide him in my work car!!

Then he tells me when i get back the thats one fast car and the high engine he had even driving before was a 1.2

Had exactly the same on my 04 182 mate. Took it back to the dealers who replaced the Oxygen sensor apparently.

Did the trick anyway and was done under warrenty

I had the same thing with my 182 last year ESP and service light came on while driving turned ignition on and off and lights stayed off rang renault they said they'd check it anyway as it was a safety issue and apparantly reset something whether it was a blag by them i don't know hasn't happened since tho

i had this with my 182, they told me it ws because my suspension is lowered and charges me £56 to fix it (even though my car is under warrenty). It still comes on occasionaly though

I had this fault, first dealer said it was because I was accelerating too hard and there was nothing wrong with it Second dealer replaced the brake sensor switch and that sorted it.
