Trade in advice please!!

Im trading in my car for a new 182 at Motorpoint on Wed. The deal has been done and sorted but I have a problem.

My car had 17inch aftermarket wheels on when we agreed the P/X but I now have the opportunity to put some standard 16inch wheels back on it therefore allowing me to sell my aftermarket 17s. I know if I rang Motorpoint they will say tough we gave you a price based on the car as it is but are they gonna notice? Are they gonna care? the wheels are a different design, 17s are multispoke, 16s are 5 spoke.

Please give your honest opinion cos im gonna have to decide by tomorrow!

it depends if they noticed the the design i suppose, the form might just say alloy wheels, or it mite give the brand, colour, size etc!

put the 16s on and see what happens, tbh i doubt they will say anything as a trader/garage its easier to punt on standard cars so you are probably doing him a favour by putting the 16s back on

As Looony Said, at work any modifications are removed..hence my free ktec zorst , uprated discs and so on.

they will just give a price for yours based on book, with maybe a little more, but as say a discount off the 182.

normally they put alloy ( no size or make ) just change it they cant remember because no photo to prove

yep i agree, so long as its got alloys, doubt theyd notice/care, plus for the sake of slightly more attractive alloys they wont let the whole deal fall through. if they ask you about them, say you did say, but they didnt hear. they wont care though id say.

when i traded in my rt, they did ask if itd come with the alloys (i did leave them on) but that was because they knew the rt normally has steelies.
