Trade insurance - does it cover mods too?

  Fiesta ST3
hi guys

my insurance policy runs out next month and this year im thinking of getting trade insurance, i have 2 other cars and a motorcycle and i reckon it will work out cheaper if i get trade insurance so im covered to drive them all.

only thing is, do they cover mods too?

i.e sportlines etc on the clio?

anyone have any recommendations on who to go with?

Thanks

I was under the impression you had to be registered as a trader to have insurance.

Also, I was under the impression that it covered you to drive cars that aren't in your name. I.E cars you bought, as a trader, to sell on.

I imagine a multicar policy would be cheaper.

if you're not in the motor trade, you'll be breaching terms of the policy. I think you have to sell something like 2 a month minimum (depends on insurance company) to be a part time trader. I have a mechanics policy so dont need to buy and sell, but do have to provide invoices of recent business activity in the event of a claim. Unusual for mods to be covered on your own vehicle too. You'll be legal, but they wont be replaced
