Traffic Cops

Did anyone watch that traffic cops last night one bbc1 about 10ish half 10ish??? was pretty good and recognised a few clips from round my end some right nut cases on it!!

Yep i saw it - South Yorkshire Police wasnt it? I felt sorry for the bloke in the 306 who hit the 17 year old down that dark road. Felt sorry for the kid too but imagine having that in your mind every time you close your eyes

i know it was the drunken kids fault but still must be hard for him to live with it, i thought the bit when the cop car fell down the ditch after chasing that red escort was funny!!

it was a 106xsi but did you see the damage that was done to it! even though it wasnt his fault, imagine how guilty he feels knowing that the lad died!!

I know most of the coppers, from Sheffield anyway. My dad used to be one. Attercliffe, Ecclesfield, and Traffic Headquarters near CarShaft, near Sheff Airport.

He was in Police Driver training, taught them all how to drive.

No, he retired about 5 years ago, but stayed on a bit after that as a civilian Police driving instructor. He still did the same but lost all his police powers. He did about 35 years service on the beat, then in traffic, and then in driving school for his last 15 years or so. Most people in the force know him or know of him.
