Trafic van dropping revs.

Got a trafic van 1.9 diesel, I assume it’s a similar if not the same engine in most renaults

Recently when it’s cold if I brake at a junction it drops the revs to 0 and almost stalls.
Only happens when the brake pedal is pressed which is strange.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it must be electrics or sensor-related (not that this post is any help.... lol).
