Trophy Or Another 172?

I'm looking at cars for when my A1 goes back in April, the idea is to drive the 'new' car for 6 months, and then tuck it away for the winter and get another Audi for 6 months via my works scheme

So, I loved my Flame Red 172, so I've been looking at getting another one of those, but I've also noticed Trophy prices are dropping to near 182 money?

I'm really annoyed as I've been watching that mint Trophy on the for sale section on here, and I was just looking at viewing it and its sold but theres still some out there

So, my question really is should I get a £4k Trophy, or a £1.5 - 2k 172?! Will I not lose much on the Trophy if I get it cheap, are prices expected to stay around the mark they're at now?

I don't think Trophy's will drop more, If you can find a mint one with good service history there will always be a demand for a car like that.

A 172 is a 172 really, It's a nice car but not exactly on par with a trophy. I have both and the trophy really does feel special when you drive it.
