Renault kept 001.

002 - 006 were press cars and were sold on to the public. 004 obviously being bought by Harry Metcalfe of Evo Magazine.

Hell yeah they were all thrashed. lol

I gave 006 a thrash when it was just a few hundred miles on the clock.

You're not wrong mate. But I've enjoyed doing them and by the looks of things I'll continue to do so into the new year when I'll just trade it in most likely.

Other than a problems with the temperature sensor on the engine when it was new it's been spot on. Never let me down, starts first time and pulls like a train. It's always felt far better than my previous two.

Why worry about it being thrashed ??

It's in warranty, which means it's a guaranteed functioning car whatever.

I would prefer an engine that's had a healthy work out.

Wouldnt buy a press car myself - prinicple is the same as buying a pool car. Always been hammered, regardless of engine temp or road conditions. Would wait for another personally.
