Prices have dived of late. Bought mine for £7k late last year and that was going rate. I've taken a bit of a hit tbh. So much so, I'll be keeping mine "forever" now. Going to get the cambelt and dampers rebuilt early summer ready for the summer.

is there anyone on here that has gone from a normal ff 182 to a trophy. the only thing that is stalling me atm is the lack of xenons and climate control as im quite fond of it. plus if i go trophy i will be approx £1k - £1.5k down and wont want to start spending cash straight away.

i do like the trophy colour tho, my last clio was of similar colour, and the trophies look so much better in the flesh.

Here is the thread:

And in reference to Barker: I went from a 172 which was FF spec. I have to say yes I do miss the xenons, tinted winscreen and auto lights but you get over it. I haven't driven the 182 with Cup packs but from my 172 there is a huge difference, handles a million times better. If you're not massivley arsed and not looking to push a car to it's limits and corner quickly I'd advise against them as the benefits will not outweigh the disadvantages in that eventuality imo.

lack of auto lights aswell, the nightmare continues. well i kinda like stuff like that. still not totally decided tho. the car will probably be pushed to the limit but not loads. so i would be better off with coilies then. hmmm.

I copied the wrong link that's the search parameters. Try the one above, and see my edit in text in reply to your question.

I'm not 100% sure, so don't quote me on it, but I think the one you've linked on AT for £5800 has had a front end crash. It's all been repaired through insurance claim, but was enough to put me off when I bought my Trophy 2 weeks ago. There's one advertised on www.cliotrophy.co.uk forum that's now down to £5800 too. Looks really good, the only thing that put me off was that it's in Aberdeen! A bit too far for me.

And as for the lack of auto headlights being a problem - really?? Is it that difficult to take your hand off the steering wheel for 2 seconds to twist the stalk!? I was looking for a FF182 originally, but decided I liked the exclusivity of the T, and is well worth it for the seats alone!

Agreed! I'd sooner the exclusivity of owning a Trophy over zenon and auto lighting, climate control etc. You guys are used to being too pampered!
