I dont think it thats much of a joke, at the end of the day they are still a 182 with slightly better handling, in a different colour, with different wheels and different front seats. They also lose quite alot of kit compared to the full fat 182.
I think somepeople on here make them out to be a lot better than the 182 and in reality theres very little difference

Amazing cars, all major mags rave about the Trophy, more so than the 182 or Cup. Its quite simply a fantastic car. I'm not going to slate them as you can pick one up for around 12k, and ive often thought about trading my 182 in for one. I would only do so because i simply love the colour, the wheels, the susp setup, the seats, and its limited edition car. I think all that safely justifies the extra 2/3k...
I guess people just buy them, but learn that they cant really afford it, hence they sell. Afterall, no Trophy's that i know of has gone back to the facotry for being dodgy, so it must be down to them not affording to keep them?? Just my opinion.

The only reasons I would have for swapping mine are, it's a Renault and the build quality isn't great, plus I've had all the usual faults to go through again, also some days I just want a comfortable soft ride, but neither of those are enough to take away the sheer pleasure I get driving it on road and on track.
i dont like the colour, therefore can be the best clio in the world and i wouldnt buy it!
Originally when I was looking for a car I wanted a red one! I looked at the 182 and was dissappointed that they didn't do it red, but set my heart on Inferno.
Low and behold they brought the trophy out, but I didn't like it as much as Inferno!
