Mine work ok but not had them long to be honest. I used them for a good 3 hours the other morning, then stuck them on charge over lunch and then used them most the afternoon again.

Haven't seen many BT headphones without a wire between the earpieces, and the ones that do seem to be less refined.
I've had my earpods for about 6 months and I can't fault them, battery is superb (and they charge in the case), siri, touch controls that you can assign on preference.
Can seamlessly change from pairing with iphone, to ipad to imac to watch if thats relevant.
Plus I've seen them down to £125 in some place atm, still a bit pricey but worth it when compared to Beats wireless ones

Cheers for the replies, I think I have 2 choices.. some cheapo ones from eBay (about 20 quid on there) to see how I get on with them, or go for the apple ones.

I had a pair of Anker wireless headphones for ages before my AirPods and they were great, they were about £25 and did have the cable between earpieces but for that price they were a bargain.

Original Airpod price should drop soon as they are bringing out the V2 Airpods which have wireless charging.

Are the airpods comfy in the ears after a while?

I find the normal ones after an hour or so start to ache.

I thought they were just releasing a new case that you could buy to enable wireless charging?

Think it's personal preference/ear shape etc., some people say they just fall out but I run with mine and they're fine, had them in for about 3hrs straight yesterday and you just forget they're in

They either fit you well, or poorly! One of the issues is that because they don't have switchable tips, you're stuck if they don't. For the money, the sound quality is very, very average. But with such an open design, that's not surprising.
You're paying a premium for the integration, which is seemless, miles better than anything else.
