Tunepoint Or New Headunit

Which is better, it's mainly going to be used for Ipod usage and maybe a little listening to the radio for when I get sick of the Ipod.

Am I better off getting a new headunit, something like the Alpine X100 or firing into Renault and getting a price on there tunepoint?

New headunit is far far better. The reno one is just a cheap aux in basically and sound quality is not great.
The X100 uses its own Digital to analogue converter inside the unit itself and therefore it doesnt allow the ipod to do the sound processing which is a huge benefit as the ipod is pants at doing it.
The alpine X series units are in a league of their own compared to the likes of other maufacturers in both their sound and also their ease of use!!
I should know ive had all 3 of the top units lol

Im a fan because of the way the unit works and how simple and uncomplicated it is. Unlike the like of pioneer etc etc. We sell all the other brands where i work but the alpine is far superior imo. The best unit to go for is the latest X series unit. Its called the X305. I have one and its brilliant. Works perfectly with all ipods including the new 5 volt charging ones as its works off USB with an ipod lead on the end of it. Works perfect with all ipod touches too and all the iphones

Another vote for alpine x series tbh! got the ida-x100 and its amazing never let me down, simple to use and sounds awseom!

Still good but the screen id so hard to use because if the way the screen displays the info
Most cheap x100 are foreign imports. There ok but no uk warranty and american ones the radio doesnt work properly, doesnt come with a wiring loom.

Mine was a reconditioned one. Worked fine and looked brand new.

all the ones i sold were uk warranty and uk models but i have no more
