tuning question

well my only concern regarding Fred is that he stuffs it into a barrier and I drive through bits of Cup everywhere, I wont even try to keep up as I've never done Oulton before and my car's handling isn't exactly amazing lol. I really need to get this engine into a Mk1 shell lol

Hehe, yeah get it done! Decent driver in mine and you'd struggle with brake and suspension mods, I had a go against a lightly tuned RS and to say the difference was noticable would be a slight understatement! lol

well if Yoz and Fred are at Oulton it will need a better driver than me that's for sure... prolly a few more mods too lol

With fred driving you have no worries but Yozza is up to speed though. May well pop down on the 10th and bring my lid....!!!!

The EVOgone will be back with a clio on track soon enough, same principle brakes and suspension only mods so to upset all the tuned engined boys..

ace, I must be all that is man, I did craners flat out... least I think I did... that's the downhill bit after the first longish right hander and then goes down hill to the sharp(ish) right hander that takes you under the bridge with the plane thingy?

tbh I'd have only done that because I saw 2 live and Yoz do it in my Williams, so the car can do it... just a case of getting over the initial fear of just going for it... very fast track Donny seems to me, hard on brakes and tyres anyway!

You girls deffo coming next week then? Yoz promised me a go in the Cup... but I think I'll settle for a passenger ride tbh. what you doing about noise restriction too, or have you sorted that out now?

It wasn't a standard car either, suspension and brakes were, but had breathing mods, cams and a remap, so yeah, little chance of even modded 172/182's keeping up providing it has a decent driver (ie not me)

Yoz drove mine too and is a quick driver, but personally in all honesty Jon is the fastest driver I have ever been out in a car with bar my cousin and Wayne's brother (ex rally driver), but even then I'd not dare place a bet on who's quicker...

Love trackdays but the Ring is the best test of any driver. Skill / learning etc the difference in times are a lot larger due to the length of the track etc.

Personnally i have missed not having a car to track these past 6 months but im sure it will be a case of business as usual soon enough. look forward to seeing you all on track.

What's happened to your car, no Clio at all?

Gave it to the ex GF when we split. So just had the company A4 but that getting changed soon for another diesel but an M-Sport 3 series.

Will be getting a Clio for the new GF and will be using that for trackdays, prob a 182 cup.

EVO would be nice for the track but have just as much fun in the clio for a fraction of the cost.! Plus i love it when people come into the pits and say what have you done to that Clio and you say its std mate.... Chin up..!
