lol how much? i just want a rough idea
Theres a Volvo engine that fits. R5 GTT engine or the VW Turbo one.
Depends how handy you are with a spanner.
youre looking at least 3k tbh to make your car not as fast as a bog standard 172.
pointless imo

i dont want to go all out on a conversion tbh.. and insurance will probably rape me.. plus its a renault so am not too kean on major changes if yano what i mean.. the things french so il probz spend more time and money fixing the thing than driving it
Why not just buy a 1.6?

Prob better off with simple things like filter, exhaust etc
You could always try a decat, chip n remap...
I'd just wait or trade it for a 1.4/1.6
btw I've owned Clio's for over 5 years and never had anything go wrong lol

there's always more than one way to skin a cat. You could do a turbo conversion pretty cheaply if you have the skills to adapt and dont really mind what it looks like to a certain extent prob £500-1000 budget. You could do a very nice, well engineered conversion for more money, and if you really wanted to go to town on it (you'd need to if you wanted to run more than minimal boost) an engine rebuild with lower compression pistons etc could cost thousands, but opening up the engine presents you with many options again
bloody hell! How old are you? I only pay 590!lol how much? i just want a rough idea
I was quoted £3000 to turbo a 172
