  Massey6465 & saxo1.1
Mint car.
Saw it when you came along to Taunton meet mate.
I am tempted to go to the pod for the CS day.But its such a long way from mine(Dev/Cornwall border).Il see how im fixed for cash later in the month.
Get yourself along to FCS mate and try it on the track.

mine is running well at the moment not a 16v turbo but once my carb is set up proper will have 200bhp with alot less weight than 16v turbo's as c1j is alot lighter engine.

i may take it to the pod although im going to concentrate more on using the car on track than strip

ash clio gtt, what have you done exactly to you gtt engine, just curious, as i done a bit to mine, and just wondering what you have done internal wise, charge cooling, turbo?, and boost levels etc, as 130-140 sounds hopeful on a gtt gearbox.

as i said ive never took it to 130-140mph, had it at 120 (on a private road) and still had some to go. internals are standard as far as i know but wont know for sure untill i get the head off at some point.
turbo is a t25 compressor with t28 exhaust housing and 360 degree thrust bearing.
running 18psi of boost.
sierra cosworth 2wd front mount intercooler at the moment but will be changing to either a larger fmic (if can find a suitable one to fit behind the clio 16v front bumper) or a chargecooler (not a pace one) depending on results of testing.
has a group a carb with enlarged venturi and choke removed.
at the moment boost comes on around 3k then pulls like a train to 5500rpm and goes a bit flat, i believe this is due to overfueling slightly that will be sorted shortly.

I had a very mildly modded 5 turbo (stupid mods i.e. exhaust filter dump and bleed valve) and got it set up to 150bhp...then, being young and having no knowledge of the engine had a twist of the bleed valve very slightly once I got used to it...then again after a month or so which made a huge difference. Not sure of the power but my m8 had a 206 Gti (not the quickest car I know) but his was right of the clock and I was catching him...then letting off then pulling on him again so I would imagine this would have been capable of 135-140...I think his clocks stopped at 135 (although I`m not sure of the accuracy of them)

mine has low comp pistons, knife edge crank, t28, charge cooler, oil cooler, ms motorsport carb set up, bb high flow fuel pump, and usual low temp fan switches and what not, running 20 psi, and is about 200 bhp, give or take. wont know for sure till next rr session. makes me wonder why i bothered if your hitting the same power with standard internals.

gearbox was rebuilt with gripper diff uprated bearings shot peened and polished gears and uprated locking rings should be good for 400bhp as long as i dont run slicks

diamond geezer its mainly because if you look at the internal work you have done it wont increase power. low comp pistons will loose you a bit of power at same boost level as standard compression pistons but you can run more boost without det.
knife edge crank will allow it to rev more freely but doesnt give more power.
16v fuel pump is more than adequate for use with carb as fuel pressure doesnt need to be as high as with efi.
with your spec you would be able to run 22psi and get more power than me.
but all the power is to be gained with cams, headwork, carb setup, correct turbo and getting the charge temps down.
look at stuart clark's r5 (11.4 1/4 mile) runs standard bottom end just with standard comp forged pistons. headwork correct cam and turbo fueling sorted and a big intercooler.
