TV Aerial Question...

  182
For a New HD TV in an room with no cable or sky to run the picture through do you need a digital aerial, or does the TV have and inbuilt aerial thats serves a similar purpose to an external jobby on a portable tv...

Can someone in the know shed some light on this?

Cheers

I had a look on the digitalUK website and it said you are best with a wideband aerial outside the house for a good reception, but my mate runs his off a crappy lil portable one?

HD tv's well only show you HD on SKY HD, HD DVD, and stuff like the xbox360, PS3.

As to the tv picture it is just the same as SD tv (standard definition tv). If you are running freeview then you are best to get a digital aerial and put it outside or in the loft, the indoor aerials are crap and are a waste of money.

If you need any help just PM me, as my dad is a professional aerial installer!!!
