I bought a Sony Bravia 32" not long back for about £300, does the job nicely.

Built in freeview, yada yada, nothing amazing, but at £300 who's complaining.

Anything over 32" needs 1080p imo, which is quite a price hike.

Good price for a Sony, what model is it and where did you get it?

As already mentioned, check out AVforums.com There's some really useful info on there, if you create a topic stating your price range I'm sure you'll get loads of recommendations.

Dunno the model number.

Got it from Sainsbury's when they had a staff 20% offer on.
