Am thinking of changing my stock lights for twin optics and was wondering how easy this will be with regards to the wiring. Im a novice at electrical stuff so any help would be much appreciated

by twin optic you mean xenon? if so, £cost£ is the drawback, although I suppose a scrappy could find them for you.

I was also aware that xenon discharge require power units which are not used with standard headlights?

Oh and good luck removing the headlights as after trying to remove them i gave up as I think the whole font bumper needs to be removed unless I am mistaken!

No these ones arent zenons, just a weird type of lens but normal bulbs. As far as Im aware you dont need to take the bumper off to change the units over but I could be mistaken.

basically to the single type bulb you have an earth, dipped beam feed and a full beam feed.on the twin headlights the full beam is the inner bulb/lamp.make the original earth into two wires by soldering another wire on there.put the dipped beam feed and one earth to the outer bulb and the full beam feed and an earth to the inner bulb.the sidelight bulb just fits in a hole in the main beam part of the headlight you dont need to modify anything with that.earth will be the black wire and just identify the dipped/full beam wires using a test light.you need the front grill off i think to get the headlights out.
