took my car to GDI the other week for its 36k service they noticed a oil leak on the engine

so i took to renault today to get it sortted because the warrenty is up next week. then got a phone call at dinner time saying the leak is coming from the cam housing and to get to that they have to take all the cam pullys and both the aux belt and cam belt off!
then they tell me they might aswell change it all and fit new pullys and both belts free of charge

if only id seen the leak myself by taking the cover off the engine once in a while id of only had to pay for an oil change at the 36k service

also had both rear wheel bearings changed and the fitting a new ecu mounting bracket all with 5 days left on the warrenty

Free cambelt change, tell them the water pumps leaking whilst they are at it

I wouldn't worry, My Golf was serviced at VW last week, and they didn't re fit the oil filter reet, and due to some genious's design its located around something hot, so the dripping oil was setting on fire and burning off. I eventually took it in after 500km's knowing the smell wasn't reet, they looked sheepish, lent me a hire car straight away, and apologised lol
