Do you think the arch gaps look any bigger/smaller at the front since I put the 182 tyres on there to match the rears??

Or do they look the same??

only noticeable difference is tyre-road contact point

The sidewall is a tad taller thats all... As thats a percentage of the width.

Ive got the perception that to the eye at least the new tyre has less of a gap to the arch. But im prob talking out of my a hole

It should have less of a gap. It has 8mm where as the old one probably had <3mm?

Correct ^^ The sidewall is the same thickness (45) but basically your new tyres have more tread than the old ones, so the gap is less.

I saw a guy driving a cup like yours coming off the slip road towards the clyde tunnel about 4pm today...
