Tyre keeps going flat??

Had no problems with the tyres on the cup wheels. Went to a wheel specialist on Tuesday to get them all swapped over to the turini's, balanced and fitted.

Next day it's almost flat. Got it filled up again.

Day after its flat, turns out the valve has seen better days. Got that replaced.

Today it's still going flat?!

I think either the alloys buckled? Or I've puncture the tyre slowly? Or! It's not been fitted right? Which one :weary:

whoever you used are not "specialists" if they didn't change the valves at time of fitting the tyres.

If the tyres not punctured & it's not a faulty valve then I suspect the tyre bead isn't seated properly. Tyre off, clean the inside of the rim, apply bead sealer and refit the tyre & re- balance. Should cure the problem, any decent tyre fitting centre will do it for you.

Could be the bead on the wheel is corroded or not seated, hairline crack in the wheel, a slow puncture. It could be allsorts and there's no way of diagnosing on the internet.

If you have a container big enough to fit the wheel in you could dip it in water to see where the air is escaping.

Failing that, take it to a better tyre place!

Edit: beaten to it!

Update: sorted it. Was multiple things;

1: Valve shot
2: nail in tyre
3: corrosion on inside (main culprit)

Sorted the nail and grinded off the corrosion and sealed properly. Should be good. Hopefully.

Agree with the "specialist" not changing valves though. But then again I was stupid enough to forget about them. Too worried about marking the alloys.
