tyre monitor system

  Dynamic S Dci 106
Needing 4 new tyres for my Clio Dynamique S DCI but it has Renualt tyre monitor system fitted and I was wondering if the valves on the tyre monitor system are kept as they are metal and seem a lot more solid than the normal rubber type valves or can/should these be changed with every tyre change.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeh they are kept and best left well alone. I'd be semi-careful where you take it for new tyres too as they need to take the tyres of the rims in a specific way avoiding the sensor, although i've found a lot of places get scared and run a mile where tyre pressure sensors are mentioned.

Every car produced legally has to have the system fitted starting in the next few months (government plan) so they better get used to them!!

Yep they will, already required in the states I believe. Lots of easy easy money to be made when they go wrong too .
