tyre pressures !!

  A4 oil burner !!!
I was told by an instructor at a Bedford trackday last fri to try 30psi all round.
Sorry for being nieve but after all ready doing a dozen or so laps and checking my pressures i dropped them to 30 all round (the were 33 front 30 rear - cold) Is that right or should they be 30 psi when cold. They felt a little soft so put them to a warm 35 all round :S
Any advice would be welcomed

cheers

figures quoted are for cold tyres. personally i run 33 front and 30 rear, and i wouldn't generally adjust them when warm cos it could be uneven. but everybody's different ;)

Thats usualy the cold setting.

Very unusual for a an instructor to recomend like that you should for track check when warm not cold since tpyres heat up at different rates.

Plus thats lowish pressure for road tyres and high for slicks etc.
