Tyre size question

I currently have 205/45 R17 runflats (which are s**t) on the Mini.

Parada Spec 2's in 205/45 R17 are £140

Parada Spec 2's in 205/40 R17 £71.30

Firstly, what the actual f**k?

Second, will it honestly have a noticable effect/difference if I change from 45 to 40?

Different diameter => inaccurate speedo => may result in ESP/ABS/RPA faults.

I am aware of the speedo issue, but its not like I am going from 60 - 35. Hence "will it honestly have a noticable effect/difference?"

slight better acceleration with an ever so slight harsher ride, i known of people going to 40 profile on the mini
